Reinhard Jahn

Born on December 21, 1950 in Leverkusen. Study of biology and chemistry, doctorate at University of Göttingen (1981), postdoctoral fellow at Yale University and Rockefeller University (1983-1985), assistant professor at Rockefeller University (1985), junior research group leader at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry (1986), associate investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and associate professor for pharmacology und cell biology at Yale University (1991), professor for pharmacology und cell biology at Yale University (1995), Director and Scientific Member at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry (since 1997), honorary professor at the University of Göttingen (since 2001).
