Ph.D. Student and Postdoc

Stellenangebot vom 21. Dezember 2017

The research group “Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy” (Prof. Dr. Marina Bennati) at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry is looking for

Ph.D. Student and Postdoc (m/f)
(Code Number 51-17)

in the field of advanced EPR spectroscopy and dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) for applications in biological science. The projects include collaborative research within the magnetic resonance groups at our institute and at the international level. The successful candidate for the Ph. D. Student position should hold a Master or equivalent academic degree in Physics or Chemistry. The successful Postdoc candidate should hold a Ph. D. or equivalent degree in Physics or Chemistry. Furthermore for a Postdoc position, an academic record in the field of magnetic resonance is desired. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the art EPR spectrometers at frequencies from 9 up to 263 GHz, as well as capabilities for double resonance techniques (ENDOR, DNP and PELDOR) and optical excitation. For additional information please refer to www.mpibpc.mpg.de/bennati.

The positions are available from April 2018. The payment and benefits are based on the German TVöD guidelines.

The Max Planck Society is committed to increasing the number of individuals with disabilities in its workforce and therefore encourages applications from such qualified individuals.

Please send your application including a short letter of motivation, CV, a list of publications (if applicable), and email addresses of two referees preferably via email as single PDF file with reference to the code number to
