Ph.D. Student Position (f/m)

We are looking for a highly motivated Ph.D. student who will study the role of messenger RNA modifications in translation regulation under the direct supervision of Dr. Namit Ranjan. This work is a part of the DFG priority program “Chemical Biology of native Nucleic Acid Modifications (SPP1784)”. The successful candidate will be embedded within the SPP1784 and will benefit from its various interactive projects. We offer an international, stimulating and innovative working atmosphere and cutting-edge and interdisciplinary research.

The successful candidate should hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in life sciences and have a strong background in biochemistry, microbiology and molecular biology techniques.

We offer a 3-year contract with the possibility of extension. Payment and benefits are based on the TVöD guidelines.
