The Hands-on Laboratory courses were organized by the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry once a year. The program aimed at journalists with a wide range of backgrounds and interests wishing to gather first-hand experience of molecular biology techniques. This offered journalists the opportunity to discuss their wider implications for the society with researchers, to make contacts for future articles, and to meet colleagues from different media and different countries. Unfortunately, we currently cannot offer this course. We hope to be able to continue the program in the near future.
