Control of vesicular trafficking
Control of vesicular trafficking by synaptic poteins in neuronal and neuroendocrine cells, its changes during pathology (E. Neher) Göttingen
Partner: Dr. R.D. Burgoyne, University of Liverpool, Dr. N. Brose, MPIem, Prof. P. G. Kostyuk, A.A.Bogomoletz Institute, Dr. E. A. Lukyanetz, ICMP, Dr. G.L. Volkov, Palladin Institute of Biochemistry,

DFG Research Center for Molecular Physiology of the Brain (CMPB)
The CMPB is one of five research centers funded by the German Research Community (DFG) to focus scientific expertise in innovative research fields. It unites research groups of the Georg-August University, the Max-Planck Society and the German Primate Center in Göttingen. Their research activities focus on molecular processes underlying brain function and the application of new knowledge from these studies in the development of therapies for psychiatric and neurological disorders. (J. Frahm, R. Jahn, T. Jovin, J. Klingauf, A. Mansouri, E. Neher, A. Stoykova)
Partner: University of Göttingen, MPI for experimental Medicine

DFG-GRK 521
Protein-Protein-Interaktionen beim intrazellulären Transport von Makromolekülen (R. Lührmann, E. Neher, J. Sørensen)
Partner: Georg-August-Universität Göttingen

DFG-GRK 632
Neuroplasticity: From Molecules to Systems (E. Neher, H. Taschenberger)
Partner: University of Göttingen, Max Planck Institute for experimental Medicine, German Primate Center

EU-Project (EUSynapse)
Understanding the involvement of synapses in neurological disorders ("Synaptopathies"), i.e. Parkinson disease, Autism etc. using a multi-systems approach: starting from in vitro cell free systems up to in vivo mouse models (E.Neher, R. Jahn). The consortium is financed by the European Commission with an 8 Mio.EUR grant over a period of four years.
