It is intended to study by experiments and by theory, the inhibiton of the fibrillation process öin AS represents a link to designing a useful therapeutic strategy. This could be accomplished with an exogenous drug - like molucule or by activation of an endogenous protein inhibitor. It has been suggested that interactions among closely homologous molecules in the same family of peptides migth regulate the state of protein aggregation unter pathological conditions.
