Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer Lecture

The next "Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer Lecture" of the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry will be given by Prof. Dr. Jens C. Brüning. The title is "Genetic analysis of neurocircuits controlling metabolic homeostasis". The lecture will be presented on Thursday, February 4, at 5 pm.

The lecture series in memoriam of Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer (1899-1957) has been established in 2004. Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer was one of the first scientists who had practised an multi-disciplinary approach in natural sciences and had systematically applied physico-chemical methods towards solving biological problems. The new lecture series was founded in order to strengthen such multi-disciplinary approaches in current research and to honor Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer. It intends to attract scientists from all related research areas. The lectures are open not only to members of the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry but also to colleagues of other research institutes as well as to the public. All lectures will be held in English.
