Research interests
Structure, dynamics and thermodynamics of biological membranes investigated by biophysical methods. This includes lipid-protein interactions, protein structure and assembly, and also the physical properties of phospholipid bilayer model membranes and non-lamellar lipid phases.
The principal experimental method is spin-label electron spin resonance spectroscopy, but solid-state NMR spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy are also used, in addition to differential scanning calorimetry, titration calorimetry and low-angle x-ray diffraction.
