| Shown is the conformational transition of E. coli adenylate kinase, an ubiquitous enzyme playing a key role in energy maintenance within the cell by controlling cellular ATP levels. Essential for its catalytic function is a large conformational transition between the catalytically active closed and the inactive open state. Using the TEE-REX method, a complete description of this large conformational transition could be given in full atomic detail. | ||||
