Interested in
biological problems and physical approaches to solve them?
The aim of the Theoretical and Computational Biophysics Department is to contribute to the understanding of the physics and function of biomolecules - particularly proteins - at the atomic level. To this end our department is equipped with cutting-edge computing facilities (10,000 processor cores, 80 TFLOP/s), which are continuously expanded and kept up to date.
The Department
offers PhD and Postdoc positions in the field of computational biophysics and structural biology. Typical prerequisites, depending on the particular project, are a solid background in physics, chemistry, computer science or structural biology.
