Equal Opportunities
Equal Opportunities refers to the right for equal access to life chances for all people - the Max Planck Institut for Biophysical Chemistry enforces this at all levels. Here you find information around this topic with a focus on equal oppotunities between women and men. The institute's Gender Equality Officer is the contact person and offers individual advice.
Career and Family
The family phase often falls into the time most challenging in terms of building a scientific career; the necessary support is provided: The institute offers access to a day care facility on site in a new building providing up to 106 spots for children between 3 month school start. The institute has installed three parent child rooms. Scientific talks start no later than 14:00. Help in finding additional child care is possible by the pme family service. Comprehensive information about further day care options as well as schools is provided here.
