Manfred Eigen Award Lecture

Manfred Eigen Award Lecture

The new Manfred Eigen Award Lecture series was established in recognition of our institute´s founder and our first Nobel Laureate Manfred Eigen (1927-2019). It was his vision to create an institute where basic biological questions are explored by scientists of all natural science disciplines. With the foundation of our institute in 1971 this vision became sustained reality, and it continues to shape our institute’s spirit to this day.

With the Manfred Eigen Award we honor an excellent scientist every year, usually around Manfred Eigen's birthday. The prize is endowed with 10,000 Euros and associated with awarding of a medal.

Everybody is welcome!
