I am a French developmental biologist. I am interested in understanding how developmental mechanisms are orchestrated to generate an adult animal and how they evolve to generate the diversity of life. For this, I did my PhD in the laboratory of Dr. Hitoyoshi Yasuo at the villefranche-sur-mer marine station to work on the mechanism of neural specification during the development of the ascidian Ciona intestinalis. For my postdoc, I joined Dr. Marie Manceau's laboratory at the Collège de France in Paris to study the patterning mechanisms underlying the diversity of colour patterns in birds. In August 2021, I joined the Rink department for my second postdoc. Here, I use the almost unlimited regenerative capabilities of adult planaria as a powerful tool to trigger, visualize and quantify patterning events that occur during pigmented skin regeneration.
