Fassberg Seminar - ONLINE SEMINAR: Mechanisms of microtubule nucleation and organization studied by in vitro reconstitutions

The microtubule cytoskeleton is essential for the internal organization of cells, for cell division and development. The architecture of the microtubule cytoskeleton and its dynamic properties are directly related to its function. The molecular mechanisms underlying the dynamic organization of the cytoskeleton are however not understood. We will present in vitro reconstitution experiments that provide insight into the mechanism of regulated microtubule formation and spatial organization of microtubules by motor proteins.
