Sharp live images from the mouse brain
February 2, 2012
Stefan Hell and his team have suceeded in visualizing finest details of nerve cells in the brain of a living mouse. Using STED microscopy, they have recorded the so far sharpest images of the structures which allow nerve cells to communicate with each other.
