Research at the Institute

Departments and Research Groups

The Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry is currently composed of 13 departments and 23 independent research groups. The diverse spectrum of their research topics extends from neuro- and developmental biology to biochemistry and genetics all the way to physical chemistry and biophysics. Six scientists have been appointed in the framework of the cooperation between the University of Göttingen and the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry.
